4 To Kill a Mockingbird Looking at a Character
You will be assigned a character to research. Consider all that has happened to the character from chapters 1 to chapter 8 2. Around the character you should draw speech bubbles, each containing a quote or statement from that text that shows their character’s personality 3. Describe the character. What traits are demonstrated by the chapter in the first few chapters. At the end, then determine if this individual will demonstrate prejudice or tolerance towards other people in the future. 6 Group Writing Assignment Imagine you are Boo Radley at the end of Chapter 8. Write a diary entry of what is happening from Boo’s point of view. Draw inferences about Boo’s diction and keep in mind the background information that we have on him. To Kill a Mockingbird

Pictures of what some people would define as courageous acts. Group the pictures into two categories, courageous and acts that lack courage. Out of these events in the novel: Atticus shoots the mad dog Mrs. Dubose’s struggle with her health Atticus deciding to defend Tom Robinson Atticus standing up to Aunt Alexandra on behalf of Calpurnia Jem touching the Radley’s door on a dare from Dill. Scout beating up the kid who called her father a “nigger lover.” Atticus informing Scout not to fight with Miss Caroline at school.
