1 Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Sources
By Sam, Presley, Arman, Chris and Skyler

2 Solutions to Generating Electricity
Many of the money that the government invests in is, hydroelectric dams wind farms and solar panels Sun and wind are renewable resources Coal and Oil are non-renewable resources

3 Renewable Sources They’re sources that can be reused and replaced
The government has been recently investing in these resources

4 Non-Renewable Resources
Is a resource that cannot be replaced or reused Examples of this are coal and oil We will eventually run out of it

5 Generating Electricity
One way is electromagnetic electricity The process includes moving a conducting wire through a magnetic field (electromagnetic induction) Generator transform the energy of motion into an electric current

6 Using water power to generate electricity
Hydroelectricity generates most electricity in Canada Niagara falls is a hydroelectric station which uses the flow from a waterfall to turn their turbines Dams are used to make electricity too

7 Connections Elliot Secondary School uses renewable sources to save energy They use solar panels and wind turbines as alternatives to non-renewable sources Government uses wind turbines in high- windy areas to get full benefit of the turbines
