The students of our school have organized various events including cultural fests, a Mock UN, educational workshops and affiliated with Rotary International and Interact Clubs alike.

3. Model United Nations
A Model United Nations(MUN) conference is a
scholastic simulation of several committees
within the plethora of United Nations
bodies and agencies. The committees will
delve into diverse and intriguing agendas,
including pressing issues of global prominence, contemporary concerns such as human rights, inter-state policy differences, economic crises, even International Security, with the ultimate goal of producing and passing a Resolution.
All students represent a country as its delegate, and are essentially responsible for projecting its policies. Conference like these are becoming widely popular in India, and are extremely popular among age groups of years old.

About Podar Summit
After moving from small classrooms of our school in 2012 to the grand halls of WTC in 2013, with eminent speakers opening the conference to 3 days of intense discussion and finally to the lavish banquets of the Ramada Hotel and Convention Centre in 2014, RN Podar brings to you the next edition of it’s annual Model UN Conference: Podar Summit With an objective of academic simulations of the UN and other international organizations, we hope to propagate an understanding, and an insight into world politics, international diplomacy and debate.  After having simulated various traditional UN committees and organizations like the World Trade Organization, Podar Summit has committees panning every aspect of coordinated global politics: Human rights, International Security, Economics and legal. We present to you an incredible opportunity for students to discuss, deliberate and delve into real world issues and be an ambassador of change.

5. Outlay for Summit 2015
The five main committees of Summit 2015.  These are committees that have always been at the foundation of the functions of the United Nations, and boast of years of existence. It gives us immense sense of responsibility to uphold the status of these committees by simulating them. 1. United Nations Security Council (UNSC) 2. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) 3. UN General Assembly First Committee: Disarmament and International Security (DISEC) 4. North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
5. Lok Sabha (Special Committee)
6. Military Cabinet (Special Committee)

and wide acclaim in numbers, after having a positive
response from target groups.

7. Venue and Dates
A hallmark of the R.N. Podar quality is to host the conference in a venue that screams of quality. Keeping that in mind, the venue for this year’s Podar Summit will be Taj Mahal Palace,Colaba.
Held in the convention center of this luxurious hotel, the delegates will have the experience of having a conference of the highest assured amenities and qualities.

8. Target Participation
400+ students from the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai are expected to participate in the Podar Summit 2015.
Students from over 20 schools and colleges within Mumbai itself will be a part of Podar Summit
Age group: 13 to 20 years.

A Press Issue, which bears the logos and sponsor information as a background, is released for each day summarizing the subjects of discussion of each committee for all 3 days. Wide online publication on our website ( and online presence with a reach of over people of similar age group.

This MUN is to be affiliated with United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan, which will feature the website with sponsors.
