Find the Slope: (50, 57) and (38.5, 32)
57 – 32/ 50 – 38.5 = 15/11.5 = 30/23
Find the y-intercept: 57 = 30/23 (50) + b
57 = b
= b
-8.21 = b
y = 30/23x

7. Residuals y = 30/23x - 8.21 Plug in each x to find the y
Observed – predicted = residual
Ex. Y = (30/23)(44)
y = 49.18
