2 Problem A flower bed in the shape of a right triangle has a circular fountain in it. The flower bed and some of it’s measurents are shown in the diagram below.

3 Measures Side A= 16 ft. Side B= x Side C= 20 ft.

4 Math What is the length in feet of the third side of the flower bed? Show or explain how you got your answer. 16^2+x^2=20^2 256+x^2=400 x^2=144 x=12ft

5 Math What is the area, in square feet, of the flower bed, including the fountain? Show or explain how you got your answer. 16ft+12ft+20ft=48ft 2304ft^2

6 Math The circumference of the fountain is 8pie feet. What is the radius, in feet, of the fountain? Show or explain how you got your answer. Radius =8pie divided by 2pie Radius=4ft

7 Math What is the area, in square feet, of the flower bed, not including the fountain? Show or explain how you got your answer ft
