2. Essays or Visual Art submissions are due by 5:00 PM March 20, 2015. Early submissions are encouraged.

3. First Prize: $300 and a Certificate Second Prize: $200 and a Certificate Third Prize: $100 and a Certificate

4. This year’s contest will celebrate the liberation of the concentration camps, which we will soon be studying in the novel Night by Elie Wiesel.

5. The liberation was a combination of relief for the prisoners and horror as the world found out what had been happening.

6. Those who had survived the Holocaust were now faced with a struggle to regain their health, restore their dignity, and somehow rebuild their lives.
