A focus on student learning, driven by evidence and an understanding of expectations Peer-led discussion and collaboration Direct applications to our classrooms and schools

3. Closing reflection In the opening session we each thought of a student who inspires us to be a better teacher. Think about that student, or a student like him or her. What will they need to be ready for their future? What is one thing you can do this year to help them get ready?

A closing question We hope you’ve learned a lot in the past two days, but we know there is still much more to learn Our teaching practice must be continuously refined We should ground improvement in the information we are getting from our students’ learning How will you fuel your own learning and the learning of your peers this year?
