2 WHY ITS IMPORTANT TO EAT HEALTHY FOOD Eating healthy food is a very important aspect of daily life, it makes you feel better and can save you a lot of money, later in the presentation we will show you the cost of eating unhealthy food and you may be surprised with the results.

3 RISKS OF EATING UNHEALTHY FOOD As well as costing a lot more money than healthy products, if you are constantly eating unhealthy food you could possibly land your self in deep health problems some of these health problems are, heart disease, stroke, heart attack, high cholesterol, depression and of course the main one obesity… This can cost huge amounts of money with healthcare and the food itself the main benefactors to a large amount of expenditure.

4 THE PRICE BONUS OF HEALTHY FOOD Another factor of healthy and unhealthy food is the price difference, here are a few examples* (from Tesco as of 5/2/15) Mars bar ~ Apple €0.74 ~ €0.50 Doritos 40g ~ Popcorn 30g €0.89 ~ €0.60 Pizza 150g ~ Whole chicken 3kg €1.05 ~ €3.04 Coca-Cola 2litre ~ Water 2litre €1.70 ~ €0.50 Porridge 1.5kg ~ coco pops 550g €2.75 ~ €4.50 *We took the lowest price for each product in every

5 OBESITY More than one-third (34.9% or 78.6 million) of U.S. adults are obese. Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the U.S. was $147 billion in 2008. The medical costs for people who are obese were $1,429 higher than those of normal weight.

6 EXERCISE Exercise is another major factor in healthy and unhealthy food especially the unhealthy. It is alright to eat unhealthy foods once in a while but when you do you should really attempt to exercise after it. A young person should get at least 1 hour or more exercise a day, A healthy adult should get 2-2½ hours of exercise a week. Running/Cycling to work, is more cost efficient and contributes to a healthy lifestyle
