Criteria for Great Public Schools Quality programs and services that meet the full range of all children’s needs so that they come to school every day ready and able to learn. High expectations and standards with a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum for all students. Quality conditions for teaching and lifelong learning. A qualified, caring, diverse, and stable workforce. Shared responsibility for appropriate school accountability by stakeholders at all levels. Parental, family, and community involvement and engagement. Adequate, equitable, and sustainable funding.

Examine resources, policies, and practices Resources Policies & Practices Outputs Criterion (1 of the 7) Sub-criteria (goals/outcomes) These are the resources, policies, and practices needed to meet the sub- criteria/goals Outputs (indicators of success): how you know if your resources and strategies are having the intended effect

Compare and record Resources Policies & Practices Outputs Criterion (1 of the 7) Sub-criteria (goals/outcomes) Compare the resources, policies, and practices listed under each goal with your current resources, policies, and practices and record results Record where you currently stand in regards to the outputs (indicators of success)

CriterionAccountability and Assessments Sub- criterion Positive Achievement Outcomes ResourcesState allocates funding to programs to ensure positive achievement outcomes for all students, including strategies to reduce learning gaps. Policies and Practices State has policies and programs to increase the number of students who graduate and are college and career ready. OutputsPercentage of students entering a two- or four-year college who do not require remediation or learning support courses. Example- Utah Utah Utah allocates funding to six programs. Utah students have a College and Career Path Plan. Utah does not collect this data. The state must begin to collect and report this data *The framework can be used at the state, district, and school levels

The district does not offer programs with 21 st century interdisciplinary themes 30% of RHSD students entering a two- or four-year college did not require remediation or learning support courses
