ACADEMIC WORKLOAD DISTRIBUTION & FULL ECONOMIC COSTING MODEL HMF 1 st December 2014 Two year pilot to migrate AWDM-FEC to electronic platform Following Year 1 feedback, amendments to e-form include: -Removed category V ‘Other’ (exceptional & rare activities) -Two new sub-categories to cover removal of ‘Other’ and minor additions to explanatory text -Pre allocated ‘Research’ & ‘Administration LUEs’ proportional to individual staff FTE -Access for staff to previous year’s completed form for ease of review and improved print options 2

Six weeks for academic staff member completion & submission to Head of Unit Mid May 2015:One month for Head of Unit to sign off on submitted forms and submit non-personalised Unit Summary to Head of College June 2015:2/3 weeks for Head of College to sign off on unit summaries End June 2015:Final reports available to Head of Unit to facilitate workload planning for next academic year. 3
