SCOPE OF PROGRAM Supports 5 themes : Human factors – reduction of driver distraction Communication systems and networks Data management solutions In-vehicle technologies and devices Traffic management operations Focus on “final stages of development and demonstration of actual products ready for market”. 32

33. APPLICATION TYPES Academia-led projects: Industry cash goes to academic institution OCE pays up to 100% of direct eligible costs Industry-led projects: Cash contribution pays for direct costs OCE pays up to 50% of direct eligible costs 33

34. ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANTS Ontario academic institutions Companies with significant Ontario operations International partners are welcome Industry-led: recipients are SMEs with less than 500 employees Industrial partnerships are encouraged Project duration: up to 1 year 34
