Senior High School Program Presented to Stakeholders August 22, First City Providential College

2 Gairanod was born on November 21, 2004 in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines to a poor family. Her family requested and collected plastics, bottles and other recyclable item which could be sold to a junk shop in order to supplement their income. Her father is a fisherman and her mother, Maria Nessel Gairanod, scavenged used bottles and old newspapers for income. Gairanod helped her mother find recyclable materials, and also performed for her neighbors in exchange for money and food.[3] Gairanod later revealed that she was not forced by her mother to find recyclable materials, but only wanted to help the family and earn an allowance.[4]

4 Logro came from a fishing family and he is the second son of his eight siblings. Logro became a service crew of several Jollibee restaurants in Manila. He became a sous chef atQaboos bin Said al Said's Palace in which it took him international trips, which in turn exposed Logro to international cuisines. He was also able to complete culinary training inItaly, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom[3] Logro became an executive chef at the Manila Diamond Hotel.[3]

5 Cristeta Comerford was born as Cristeta Pasia in the Philippines
Cristeta Comerford was born as Cristeta Pasia in the Philippines and grew up at Cataluña St., (now G. Tolentino) Sampaloc, Manila. She completed her secondary education at the Manila Science High School. She attended the University of the Philippines, Diliman inQuezon City, majoring in food technology. However, she left school before completing the degree when she immigrated to the United States at the age of 23.

6 Wesley So, Chess Grandmaster
Wesley So (born October 9, 1993) is a Filipino Grandmaster(GM)-titled chess player. A chess prodigy, he achieved the GM title at the age of 14 years, 1 month and 28 days, making him the 7th youngest person to achieve the Grandmaster title in the history of chess. Before becoming a Grandmaster, So had become the youngest Filipino International Master at the age of 12 years and 10 months. Wesley So, Chess Grandmaster

Partnerships for Senior High School 2 WHAT WE BRING OUR OWN RESOURCES TAX INCENTIVES VOUCHERS A KEY REFORM INITIATIVE Let’s proceed to Step #2. – What we bring into the partnerships. Our own resources that will cover the bulk of the requirements Vouchers, as discussed by Usec Varela – the incentive we provide non-DepEd schools to offer SHS and to public school students to transfer to private schools Tex incentives – for donations from the private sector, through the Adopt-A-School Program, 150% tax deductibility incentive K to 12, especially SHS as a key reform initiative that people and institutions will be interested to be part of. DepEd willingness to “share ownership” of this key reform initiative can e used as a leverage to attract partners.
