1.) T RAININGS /W ORKSHOPS M ORE W OMEN IN P OLITICS : WHY AND HOW ? Who? women + 18 ani, members of Women’s Organisation of political parties, with or without decison making positions. Why? Key actor in supporting women Where? Bucharest and Timisoara How many workshops? 4 How many participants? 150 women 3 main topics A. Arguments for more women into politics. B. What kind of problems women confront with? Making gender violence and work life balance polical issues. C. How to cooperate and make their work more visible.

D EBATES : QUESTIONS / ISSUES RAISED BY WOMEN NGOs Poor communication with women’s NGOs: general mistrust in political parties + NGOs more interested in amending public policies and less in actively supporting more women into politics. Political parties Women’s organizations within political parties are the last on the list when distributing resources (decision making positions when gaining power). They are united by the same problems despite belonging to different political parties and they are aware of – not ideology, but gender. They do the hard work: conscious of active membership, and less rewarding. They lack communication with other women from the same party. Lack of solidarity among women in politics (general). Media stereotyping
