OGRD Research Development, Core #1 Centralized Proposal & Award Processing, Core #2 Education, Training & Events Core #3 The Office of Grant and Research Development (OGRD) serves the Washington State University faculty and graduate students in the broad aspects of proposal development and sponsored project management for their research, scholarly, and creative programs.

Research Development Resources Proposal Writing for Large Interdisciplinary Proposals (PMU) RFP review, timeline assistance Regular meetings with the PI, meeting coordination Template/model development, editing & budget support Serve as a point-of-contact for collaborating partners Help with special needs, application package, & proposal submission OGRD

Proposal and Award Processing Review & Authorize Proposals Provide guidance on RFPs / help with forms Review of final proposal Submission of proposal to sponsor Tracking & monitoring of proposal Negotiate Contracts & Accept Awards Budget preparation F&A issues Review contractual language Prepare & Execute Standard Agreements & Contracts Draft various subawards & contract Material transfer, non-disclosure, no-money, data set & equipment loan agreements OGRD

Proposal and Award Processing Certify & assure University adherence to governmental policies US Code of Federal Regulations and other federal regulations OMB and Uniform Guidance Revised Code of Washington (Title 28B) WSU Business Policies & Procedures Manual WSU’s Faculty Manual Monitor and report sponsored project activity Work with SPS to allocate or request changes from sponsor Help with additional materials Advise faculty, staff & grad students on these functions & activities OGRD

Education, Training & Events Training and Event Coordination Services Coordinate meetings, workshops, seminars & state-wide outreach activities Coordinate WSU internal grant competitions Promote prestigious faculty awards & provide applicant support Administer Research & Arts Committee OGRD

(Training provided: contact Derek Brown for times) FY14: $862 million/2826 in proposals, $211 million/1727 awards.
