11 Pre-11s Key Downstream Buyer FeatureDescription Collaborative RequisitioningThere are three components: 1.Dynamic Collaboration: This takes the collaborative functionality for Services Procurement and uses it On Demand for standard catalog and non-catalog items. 2.N Bids and a Buy: It enforces that collaborative requisitions are sent to N suppliers based on certain criteria. 3.Quick Enablement Collaboration Request: This was back ported to CD in SP 19. Documentation: Procurements User Guide: Chapter 5: Collaborative Requisitioning Real-time accounting and budget check approvals This feature provides for budget check at the requisitioning level. The customers can import budgets from their ERP system and ensures that a user is not able to submit the requisition unless a valid budget is found and reserved. Documentation: Ariba Procurement User Guide: Chapter 2: Managing Budgets; Ariba Procurement Data Import and Administration Guide: Chapter 2: Configuring and Managing Budgets P-card Purchase Orders for Suppliers and commodities This feature enable customers to configure the adjustment types and to edit the accounting data during the PCard charge reconciliation. Documentation: Ariba Procurement User Guide: Chapter 7: Using Purchasing Cards; Ariba Procurement Data Import and Administration Guide: Part II Managing Charge Enhanced P-card ReconciliationThese features enable customers to configure the adjustment types and to edit the accounting data during the PCard charge reconciliation Documentation: Ariba Procurement User Guide: Chapter 7: Using Purchasing Cards; Ariba Procurement Data Import and Administration Guide: Part II Managing Charge Federated Process ControlThis feature enabled customers to deploy P2P across different group companies which may be on different ERP systems. This deployment option allows customers to control the business policies centrally and still give the procurement control to the group companies by creating different realms for each group company that are governed by a parent realm. 12 Pre-11s Key Downstream Catalog FeatureDescription Complex Catalogs Kits and Bundles, Partial Items Support for Kits and Bundle allocations with APC. Eg. New Start induction kits or maintenance kits. Partial items are the ones that users need to provide the complete information about during requisitioning process. For example, a shirt could be modeled as a catalog partial item and user can provide a color and size of the shirt while requisitioning. Documentation : Ariba Procurement Content, Catalog User Guide, Release 11s Public FavoritesAbility to display public favorites for other users to view Documentation : Catalog Administration Guide for Buyers, Release 11s Supplier Self ServiceAbility for a supplier to completely enable and update a catalog. This feature automates the complete process. The Buyer can set supplier specific validation rules. Suppliers download these rules to create catalogs. All loaded catalogs checked real time for errors and have real time error reporting. Suppliers correct the catalogs and only corrected, policy compliant catalogs are loaded in system. 13 Pre-12s Key Downstream Invoice FeatureDescription Improved End-point routings between systems Buyer administrators can configure end points in Ariba Network and Ariba Buyer to manage and control the flow of data from an Ariba account to each of the various systems connected to it VAT Tax ImprovementsThis feature extends “Support for Tax Detail Extrinsics” and “Support for 0% Tax Rate” Queue Management for high transaction volume processing Queue management functionality extends the current concept of user group to establish clear ownership and management of approval routing to groups of users. Documentation: Ariba Approval Process Management Guide: Chapter 1: Approval Process Concepts Enhanced Invoice Rejection Handling If users rejected an invoice reconciliation (IR), the status of the IR was set to Rejected, but the status of the invoice document was set to Reconciled. For users who relied on the invoice document to review status information, this caused confusion since there was no indication that the invoice had actually been rejected. Improved Exception Management tolerances Invoice exceptions can now be defined to allow for absolute tolerances based on the difference between the amount or quantity values on the invoice and the expected values on the associated purchase order or contract. © 2012 Ariba, Inc.
