Animal Classification Fish without scales. Sharks are fish because they live in the water and breathe through gills.

Endangered? No Great White Sharks are considered vulnerable (at risk) but not endangered.

Interesting facts Sharks don’t have bones. Their skeleton is made of cartilage (tough stretchy tissue). Shark skin is very rough and can be used as sandpaper. Shark’s skin can sense the electrical fields that animals give off.
