Answer, build, challenge
Once a week I incorporate a 15 minute questioning session into a lesson I pre-plan 5/6 higher order open questions using Blooms as a guide if needed

Example questions Evaluate which drug is the most dangerous Predict what would happen if there was no more sun on earth Answer = 1 point Build = 2 points Challenge = 3 points

Objectives Key questions are generated prior to the lesson
Allows for contribution from all abilities Promotes competition between similar ability students especially higher end Allows for me to see which students are not engaging in the questioning sessions so can I consciously direct questions at other points in the lesson towards these students
