AIM: How do differences in the specific heat of land and water control a locations weather and climate? Concepts: A higher specific heat will cause a substance to warm (absorb) and cool (radiate) at a slower rate. (This means fast absorbers are also fast radiators) Q: What should be the “control” of the experiment if one is comparing the specific heat of land vs water? A: The energy each container receives
