Using a Number Line To Plot Points and To Drop and Drag Points Students will work with the teacher as she models how to place points of fractions on a number line. Also the will see how to select points on the number line. Students and Teachers will work through the exercises at https://www.illustrativemathematics.org/illustrations/173 https://www.illustrativemathematics.org/illustrations/173 After the teacher Models the exercises the students will try independently. Next the teacher will guide students through sample PARCC questions at https://www.parcconline.org/practice-tests https://www.parcconline.org/practice-tests Finally, Students will play (take the assessment at http://www.ixl.com/math/grade-3/graph-and- compare-fractions-with-like-numerators-on-number-lines ) and the teacher will walk around and do an observational assessment of their application and intervene with struggling students or assign partners to scaffold. Teacher can record scores if needed.http://www.ixl.com/math/grade-3/graph-and- compare-fractions-with-like-numerators-on-number-lines Students will work with the teacher as she models how to place points of fractions on a number line.
