Description of Responsibility
PMI - Responsibility Description of Responsibility Duty to take ownership for decisions, actions and consequences that we make or fail to make Mandatory Standards Uphold policies, regulatory and legal requirements Report unethical or illegal conduct Pursue disciplinary action

Description of Respect
PMI - Respect Description of Respect Duty to show high regard for ourselves, others and resources entrusted to us Mandatory Standards Negotiate in good faith Don’t take personal benefit at the expense of others Do not act in an abusive manner Respect the property rights of others

Description of Fairness
PMI - Fairness Description of Fairness Duty to make decisions and act impartially and objectively. Free from self interest, prejudice and favouritism Mandatory Standards Govern Conflict of interest Favouritism Discrimination

Description of Honesty
PMI - Honesty Description of Honesty Duty to understand the truth and act in a truthful manner in our communication and conduct Mandatory Standards Do not engage in or support behaviour that is designed to deceive others Do not engage in dishonest behaviour at expense of others or for personal gain

PMI – Breach of Code Submit an ethics complaint for breaches of the code to the PMI Ethics Review Committee Can result in – Removal of membership Possible legal action or charges

AIPM – Article 1 Standards
Accept responsibility Undertake projects only if we have the right skills, experience and qualifications Maintain professional skills Practice in a dignified manner Participate in the AIPM Obey laws Be aware and respectful of other cultures

AIPM – Article 2 Work Provide project leadership to promote maximum productivity and minimal costs Apply tools and techniques to ensure project objectives are met Treat team members, colleagues and co-workers fairly with no discrimination Seek and offer honest criticism and properly credit the work of others Assist team members etc in their professional development

AIPM – Article 3 Employers
Act as faithful agents or trustees Respect confidentiality Inform of any potential or actual conflict of interest situations Neither give nor accept gifts of more than nominal value Honestly and realistically report on project status

AIPM – Article 4 Community
Protect the safety, health and welfare of the public Speak out against any abuse of the public interest Extend public knowledge and appreciation of the project management profession and achievements

AIPM – Breach of Code Lodge any concerns with the AIPM National Council Can result in - Removal of name from the register of members or Removal of name from the register of certified practitioners
