9.  Set aside time to read everyday!  15-30 minutes is all it takes!  To keep track of reading, tally it on your calendar!  Visit the library  Help your child find books (Just Right Books)  Let their interests guide book selections

13.  Have your kids help you count, sort and organize things  Talk about your day and experiences to build rich language  Cook or bake together and have your child read and measure with your guidance  Have your child make the grocery list with you and do all the writing  Let your child count money to pay for items or figure out how much change you will get back
