Q: What is ZOCCAM? A: ZOCCAM is the first mobile application that allows secure electronic third-party delivery of earnest money via smartphone from licensed real estate agents to title companies. Q: Does ZOCCAM provide other features on the application? A: Yes. ZOCCAM has other features that are designed to benefit licensed real estate agents. Q: Who subscribes to ZOCCAM? A: ZOCCAM only allows licensed real estate agents to be a subscriber. We charge the real estate agent a monthly fee and only allow them to become a subscriber after verifying their license information. Q: Is the title company a customer of ZOCCAM? A: Yes. The title company pays a monthly fee per branch to be on the application. Q: Can duplicate checks be deposited? A: Duplicate checks are rejected. Q: Where is the original check stored? A: The original check remains with the purchaser who wrote the check.

Q: Does the title company receive a copy of the check? A: Yes. The title company will receive a notification through which contains the check image (with a watermark). Q: What type of scanning equipment and/or mobile devices will be used to create the check images? A: Scanning will be done on iPhone and Android Q: What is the process used to ensure that the check images received through the smart phone app each time are high enough quality to be cleared by each financial institution? A: Every image undergoes and Image Quality Assessment before truncation. The Software is able to capture and pass an exact representation of the MICR line. The image format conforms to the Image Qualify and TIFF Tag Requirements. Q: How is the check endorsed? A: The checks are electronically endorsed by the title company. It is a virtual endorsement Q: Are there any type of limits (dollar amounts) being established around the check scanning process? A: Limits can be set based on risk assessment by the bank, but ZOCCAM has imposed a limit of $50,000 for Earnest Money. The average Earnest Money check is $2,000.
