3 Chai History  Chai is an ancient beverage that is mixed with Black teas, milk, sugar, honey, and various spices.  Chai is well known in Southern Asia where it is sold in trains or where ever crowds gather by street vendors called "wallahs".  Served in low fired clay cups called "kullarhs" that the wallahs had made themselves out of native clay in open fires while they brew their chai. When finished, the kullarh is dashed on the ground to break and return to the earth where it began only a few hours earlier.  Legend → Chai was invented by a royal King in the ancient courts of India & Siam. The recipe was considered a royal treasure for centuries.  Today it is the common beverage of choice for the average person in both the Near East and the Far East. They bellow "CHAI" in an intonation that is impossible to replicate.
