New Class Permissions
9
Class Permission Examples Econ 401-004 is closed. The class has a prereq of Math 115 (or equiv). Instructor approves a waiver for the Math prereq. RCLang 290-002 requires department consent. Student receives a permission to take the class, but waits to register. In the meantime, the class has closed.
10
Discussion Topics Would having this level of granularity on permissions be useful? Do these pages seem too confusing for users who enter? Will the permissions be too confusing for students? Would your School/College use them?
11
Retaining Dropped Enrollments Faculty will be able to see dropped students from their class roster Operation staff will also have access to view drops Students will not see their dropped classes Dropped records will be in the Data Warehouse –may need to adjust existing reports
12
Cloning Student Exceptions
13
Discussion Questions Is the copy feature being used? Should we reapply this modification? Note – it will be important for exceptions to be up-to-date & accurate as students will use their outstanding degree requirements for enrollment and planning purposes in v9
14
Requesting Degree Audit Reports In v9, users can only run one degree audit report at a time –Produces the interactive degree audit report Do you typically run multiple degree audit reports? If so, what are the reasons for running multiple reports?
15
Unofficial Transcript In v9, users will be able to produce a 2 column, landscape, PDF version Recommend not reapplying the 1 column, portrait, on-line version. This is UM modification.
16
Advising Report The advising report is the unofficial transcript with four additional fields –Student Groups, Placement Exams, Admit Term, and Test Scores How do your advisors use the Advising Report and/or Unofficial Transcript and/or Degree Audit Report for academic advising purposes?
