A critical article or essay; a critique. The investigation of the origin and history of literary documents; textual criticism.

5. Develop a Rubric Make a chart with a number of different categories: –Rhythm –Melody –Instrumentation, etc. Create an area to include information that might not be covered by the rubric.

6. The Process of Critique Listen to the entire musical example once through without writing anything. Get the overall feel to the piece. Listen again focusing on a specific element of the critiquing rubric. Listen a third time focusing on as many elements of the rubric as you can. Formulate your answers to create a coherent assessment of the work.
