1
LEPRACHAUNS By Chris Rash & Alex Frisina
2
What Is a Leprechaun Derived from the term Leath Bhrogan (Irish for Shoemaker) Often aged dominative men frequently to be found in an intoxicated state caused by home- brewed poteen. Self-appointed guardians of ancient treasure (left by the Danes when the marauded through Ireland). These treasures are normally buried in crocks and pots.
3
Reason for Testing There are many people that believe Leprechauns are real, but they are yet to bring any hard facts to the table. But who is to say that just because there’s no hard facts that it cant be real; maybe if you just believe. Also after seeing a recent newscast, it lead us to believe maybe there is more behind it then we think.
4
Hypothesis Its not a question of if they are real or not, but that if you believe they are real you are more likely to have encounters.
5
Variables and Controls Variables The way people react to the simulations The beliefs of each groups involved Control The simulation being given to the groups
6
Groups There will be three groups; the first group is people that don’t have a side, then second group is none believers and the last group is people believe in leprechauns.
7
Group 1- neutral Group A Places in a wooded area with all different shrubs and bushes. There will be different objects placed all over in the trees. (the theory is that some will see a “leprechaun” while others wont) Group B Place in a wooded area, with no objects placed in the bushes.
8
Group 2- None believers Placed in the same wooded area with shrubs and bushes. There will be different objects placed in the brush (the idea is they will not see anything because they don’t believe) This group is placed in the same wooded area without the objects in the brush.
9
Group 3- Believers They will also be placed into the same woods. There will be objects in the brush (the idea is since they believe they will have an encounter with a leprechaun) They will be placed in the woods without the objects.
10
Conclusion It is not a question of if they are real or not, it is simply the idea that if you believe in it enough, anything can be true. Its just IMAGINATION.
