2 Abstract המעבדה למערכות ספרתיות מהירות High speed digital systems laboratory 2 This is the project that will be a base for a series of projects with a general purpose to enhance an existing Bluetooth analyzer. One of the shortcomings of the existing Bluetooth analyzer is insufficient checking of RF protocol specifications. The purpose of the projects is to fix the problem of the Bluetooth analyzer and the project is a first step towards the purpose. In the first semester we have built a circuit that can check existence of RF transmitting between Bluetooth devices without direct cable connection to the devices. The circuit dials with transmitting activity only, by measuring a power and a frequency of transmitted signal. The global goal is to be able to determine a fail of communication between Bluetooth devices due to Bluetooth protocol RF exceptions. The main shortcoming of the system that was built in the first part of the project is the inability to work unless in the distance of /4 (about 3 cm) to the Bluetooth device. The second part of the project have a purpose to overcome this shortcoming. This part is dedicated to the developing of the system that can operate in whole work range of a Bluetooth device. The enhanced amplifiers system is able to change the total amplifying according to the change of the distance to the Bluetooth device.
