Chapter 12 Chapter 12 – Many gifts and none are more or less important. “1 Corinthians 12-14” Chapter 13 Chapter 13 – Gifts must be founded in love. This is a more excellent way. Chapter 14 Chapter 14 – How gifts are to be used and not abused in corporate worship.

U nwrapping the G ifts: “The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts” The unique God given ability to serve and/or speak in such a way that God is glorified, believers are edified and the lost are evangelized.

U nwrapping the G ifts: “The Doctrine of Spiritual Gifts” 1. Spiritual gifts are sovereignly bestowed by the Godhead. + Father – “God has placed the members…” 1 Cor. 12:18 + Son – “According to Christ’s gift” Eph. 4:7 + Spirit – “Through the Spirit” 1 Cor. 12:7

Spiritual gifts are given to build up fellow believers and to evangelize the lost. Eph. 4:11-12 4. Spiritual gifts develop and are clarified through growth and practice. Eph. 4:15-16
