Briefly describe a solubility test or classification test (just name and result) that would allow you to distinguish between 1) an aldehyde and a primary alcohol. 2,4-DNP – test or Tollens test 2) an alcohol and a phenol. e.g. Solubility test: Phenols dissolve in dil.
