2 2 MDI synoptic maps Individual magnetogram: –Correct offset; –Rescale single magnetogram; Remap magnetograms and form the synoptic maps (link);link Correction for differential rotation (need new definition); Correction for polar field (link);link Generate synoptic frame, and examine the influence from non-uniform noise (link);link Evaluate rescaling methods (link).link

3 3 WSO synoptic maps Magnetograms remaps in the Carrington coordinate; Select the central strip of every single magnetogram, and form a synoptic chart. The size of the strip depends on how many data available;

4 4 WSO data Advantage of WSO data: –High accuracy; –Excellent determination of the magnetic zero level; –A consistent thirty-year time series of the low-resolution large- scale magnetic field measurement without any significant instrumentation modification.
