What is light? The light is composed from electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic radiation that we see is called visible light. It is the base for every life proces on the earth. Visible light 2

Sidelighting The vertical windows are the most used. They supply: daylight outside sight easy ventilation The windows however have a limit: the sunlight isn’t distributed uniformly in the room 8

Toplighting Compared to vertical windows, they offer some advantages: They are less frequently obstructed by trees and other buildings They spread uniformly the light into the room Rooflight is used to illuminate the room by using the sunlight. 9
