Results : Smoking Population data ; Prevalence Smoking Outcome Measure To reduce the prevalence of smoking amongst adults to 18% by Year 10. Baseline Position - 2002 – 31% NDC adults smoked ( Mori) Position at last PMF - 2004 - 26% NDC adults smoked( Mori) Latest Milestone -2006 – reduce adult smoking to 24% Latest Actual - 2006 – 25% (National Evaluation Data 2006) Next Milestone - 2008 – reduce adult smoking to 21%

Results : Smoking Service data & project data Service data 05 -06 4 week NDC quitters through smoking cessation service – 4 in Qtrs 1-3 51 in Qtr 4 NDC telemarketing service begun in Sept 06 Project data –Number of NDC residents contacted through telemarketing 473 and 224 referrals made 64.2 white British etc PCTs are now moving to prevalence rates so there will be Borough comparators

Results Service Data : Child Protection Child Protection By year 10 reduce the number of children in the NDC area on the child protection register by 50% (a reduction of 8 children via the Children in Need Index) Baseline Position - 2001-02 – 16 children on CPR Position at last PMF - 2004 – 7 children Latest Milestone - 2006 reduce children on CPR by 25% to 12 Latest Actual 4 children in 2006 (Children in Need Census 2006) Next Milestone - 2009 – reduce the number of children on CPR by 37% to 10 **Reducing the gap : Concentrating on obtaining %’s of children - 2005 0.3% of Borough’s Children on CPR – NDC 0.35%
