11. n From ‘Session’ select ‘Create’ n Choose ‘No’ when prompted to use SessionGuide n Terminal setting u set ‘Terminal Type’ to desired emulation u set ‘History Rows’ to 0

12. Connecting to Innopac n Communications setting u create a link to Innopac F use TCP/IP for network connection F use Asynchronous for direct connection n Macros setting u use default settings

13. Connecting to Innopac n Display setting u change screen colors u select ‘size to fit window’ option u select ‘block cursor’ option n Keymap setting u create file to store Innopac session keyboard assignments F ex. III macros

14. Connecting to Innopac n Export/Transfer setting u not applicable n Click close and name session u ex. III connection n To open session to Innopac u click ‘open’ under ‘session’ u double-click desired connection

25. n From ‘Tools’ select ‘Macro’ n Create macro book to store Innopac macros n Record a macro u enter name in the ‘Macro Names’ field F no spaces allowed F no more than 27 characters u click ‘Record’ button u choose yes to ‘record text received from host’

26. Creating macros u enter description of macro F spaces are allowed F no character limit u macro toolbar will appear F stop button - terminates record function F pause button - suspends recording temporarily u perform keystrokes to be recorded u click ‘Stop’ button when finished

34. n Connect to Innopac via Passport u select session previously created, ie. III connection n Proceed to appropriate ‘start screen’ n From ‘Tools’ select ‘Macro’ n Select appropriate macro book n Select macro from list n Click ‘Run’ button

39. n From ‘Tools’ select ‘Customize’ n Select keymap for Innopac session u ex. III macros n Select ‘macros’ in ‘Category’ box n Select macro from list u description and current key assignment will be displayed

40. Assigning macros to function keys n Enter desired shortcut key in ‘New Shortcut Key’ field u warns if key is already assigned F okay if assignments are in different keymap files u can assign more than one shortcut key to the same macro n Click ‘Assign’ button

46. n From ‘Tools’ select ‘Macro’ n Select appropriate macro book n Select macro from list n Click ‘Edit’ button n Make changes n Click the ‘check’ box to verify and save u will let you know if there are any errors n Close macro editor window

47. Tips on using Passport with Innopac n Use macro books to organize your macros by dept, library, person, etc. n Make sure the correct macro book is selected when creating macros n Do a dry run before creating macro to look for possible problems (ie. Initials & passwords, non-static values)

48. Tips on using Passport with Innopac n Decide where macro will start (ie. Main menu, circ menu, etc.) n Be careful with including passwords in macros since they are not encrypted n Some keyboard shortcuts (ie. Control-V) may be hard coded into the software n Use ‘organizer’ to copy & transfer macros between macro books

49. Tips on using Passport with Innopac n Passport has help available on the Passport toolbar u includes step-by-step instructions for creating macros u explains all that macro programming language gibberish
