WP1:II3 Sources of interference IM Distortion : multiple access interference (MAI). Thermal-Noise & Interfering Signal : Gaussian noise (AWGN). RF transmission from multiple devices sharing the same band. Flat-fading results from degradations that are correlated and occurs in bursts. inverse of the maximum Doppler frequency,, and is a function of the mobility of the user.
