30. Conclusion Water quality is determined by conducting physical and chemical measurements of the ABIOTIC factors of a freshwater environment. ABIOTIC factors include temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, total dissolved solids, and stream flow. ABIOTIC factors determine the BIOTIC factors (what can live) in the freshwater environment.
