It will allow the bow thruster to start the generator without discharging to the other batteries. I moved wire 5pa, and added two 150 amp fuses We need to talk. LW 150 A BC

T/S Patricia Divine Main Engine Start/Run Sequence Set Sw#1 to the “Batt. #2” position. (House Battery) Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #2” (power for main engine/generator starter, do not switch “off” while main engine or generator are running.) Set Sw#3 to “On” (Bow thruster/ aux. power connect.)

T/S Patricia Divine Under way Sailing Main Engine Stop* Sequence with A.C. Generator off Set Sw#1 to the “Batt. #2” position. (House Battery) Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #2” (Power for engine/generator starter and generator run solenoid) Set Sw#3 to “Off” (Bow thruster aux. power connect.) This will prevent the discharge of the bow thruster battery to house loads. *make any/all switch changes after main engine has stopped.

Patricia Divine Main Engine Off* with A.C. Generator On Heart Interface circuit breaker On (as battery charger) Set Sw#1 to the “Batt. #2*” position. * After generator is started, the charging of both “House” and “Engine Start” battery banks is by the Heart interface battery charger. Make sure the Heart Interface A.C. circuit breaker is “On”, and the Interface controls are “On” Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #2” (Power for engine/generator start and generator run solenoid) Set Sw#3 to “On” (Bow thruster aux. power connect. To charge bow thruster battery). *make all switch changes after main engine has stopped

Dockside, Main Engine Off with A.C. Generator Off Heart Interface On (as battery charger) Set Sw#1 to the “Batt. #2” position. To charge both House and Engine Start batteries, using the Heart Interface as a battery charger: Make sure the A.C. circuit breaker marked “Battery Charger” is “on”, and the Interface controls are “On” Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #2” (Power for engine/generator start and generator run solenoid) Set Sw#3 to “On” (Bow thruster aux. power connect. To charge bow thruster battery).

Patricia Divine Main Engine Start/Run Sequence With “LOW” Engine Start Battery Set Sw#1 to the “Batt. #2” position. Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #1”. This will give you power from “House Battery” to start Main engine/generator..... ( Never switch to “off” while main engine /generator are running). Remember to switch off as much of the “House “ power demand as possible! Set Sw#3 to “Off” (Bow thruster aux. power connect. )

When all has failed! Main Engine/Generator Start/Run With “LOW”: “Engine Start Battery” and “ House Battery”. Set Sw#1 to the “Batt.#1” position. Set Sw#2 to “Batt. #2” position Remember to switch “ off” as much of the “House “ power demand as possible! Set Sw#3 to “ON” this will back-feed power to start generator first. Start Generator (Use Decompression to aid start) Go to next page

After generator start, turn on heart interface battery charger to charge main engine battery, and house battery. Charge for 15 min. Switch SW#1 to “Batt. #2” Switch SW#2 to “Batt# 2” Switch SW#3 to “On” Start Main engine. go to next page When all has failed! Main Engine/Generator Start/Run

After main engine is running: Check if the alternator is charging by switching off battery charger circuit breaker and checking alternator output ammeter and system volt meter on main DC electrical panel. If charging is indicated by a current above 10 amps and voltage above 13 volts, you may stop the generator. When all has failed! Main Engine/Generator Start/Run
