Remember What Worship Is? The main Hebrew word: Shacah – to bow down in obedient reverence The main Greek word: Proskuneo – to bow down and kiss the hand of The Old English: Derived from the word worth-ship. Meaning to denote worthiness to the one receiving the honor or devotion.

Remember God’s Word on Authority One God and one guide. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) Authority is vital: “not beyond the things that are written.” (1 Corinthians 4:6) Abide in the doctrine of Christ. (2 John 9) Spirit and truth (John 4:24) Do not transgress. (1 John 3:4)

What is Teaching? The true teacher defends his pupils against his own personal influence. (A. Bronson Alcott) Teaching Defined: It is the art of providing information to one person or a group of people. It is the proclamation of spiritual truths from God’s word to a person or group of people allowing (causing) each individual to reflect upon his/her life and working to grow closer to God.

Teaching Throughout the Bible “… they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.” The Old Testament: The command to parents. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9) The command to grandparents. (Deuteronomy 4:9) The life of the prophets. (2 Chronicles 36:15) Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”
