Texas Public School Technology Surveys – 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 Four small grants from TAMUS, TAMU- College of Education, and the Texas Infrastructure Fund Board with funding from SCR*TEC were used to conduct public school district technology surveys on the integration of technology in Texas public schools between 1996 and 2002.

Findings - Infrastructure Percent of Districts with 75% or More Classroom Internet Access 1996199820002002 Elementary School Classrooms 12499498 Middle School Classrooms 10539798 High School Classrooms 19659699 Results indicated significant increases in classroom Internet access by 2002. TrackStar HOW many folks are familiar w/ TrackStar? TrackStar is your starting point for online lessons and activities. Simply collect Web sites, enter them into TrackStar, Add annotations for your students, and you have an interactive, online lesson called a Track. Create your own Track or use one of the hundreds of thousands already made by other educators. Search the database by subject, grade, or theme and standard for a quick and easy activity. There is a fun Track already made for each day of the year, too!
