Protect- prevent bacteria- oil(sebaceous) acidic Sensory receptors- touch, pain, heat, cold especially fingertips Prevents dryness (waterproof /keratin) Synthesis of Vitamin D- sunlight Regulate temperature- shiver or sweat (sudoriferous) Sweat rids of excess water and some wastes
