2. + As a college student, Generation Debt … is important to me because it discusses the high cost of higher education and the troubles that a college student confronts. It made me contemplate my generation, and what we will face in the future. Why is this important to me?

3. + What is your response to it? There is an increase of debt in our generation compared with the previous generation. There is a staggering cost of a college education, and today’s youth faces limited options. Recent graduates need to buy more technology like laptop computers and cell phones; those are items that the previous generation didn’t have or need. I agree!

4. + What is the author saying? The author explores the financial problems of college grads, and those who entered the workforce with or without a degree. She makes some good points as to why America’s youth are having a hard time financially.  High taxes  Cost of college  Bad-decision making  Credit card debt and student loans  Major economic changes She discusses the plight of our youth and gives suggestions on how we must overcome financial obstacles in order to succeed.  Use common sense! - Get a degree you can actually use. - Go to an affordable college.  Save money.  Don’t live off credit cards.
