Hypothalamus Perceives a threat via input from the senses. CRH (hormone) is released to pituitary gland.

Pituitary gland regulates the hormones secreted by the pancreas & adrenal glands. ACTH (hormone) through the blood stream.

Adrenal glands secrete cortisol and epinephrine “stress hormones”. Pancreas releases glucagon which increases glucose in the blood stream while inhibiting the secretion of insulin.
