3 Objective 2 Identify why we are focusing this 36 hours on investigations of staff sexual misconduct with inmates

4 Objective 3 Review state statutes, their content, importance and relevance to investigations

5 Objective 4 Identify human resource issues associated with investigations

6 Objective 5 Identify tools needed in the organization to support good investigations – Operational issues/security – Human resources issues – Investigative protocols – Addressing culture and the code of silence – Working with prosecutors and other law enforcement

7 Objective 6 Identify strengths and weaknesses in the agency’s investigative processes (mapping)

8 Objective 7 Learn by doing - practice scenarios

9 Objective 8 Develop a targeted action plan to improve investigations in your agency
