A portal that enables each visitor to personalize features to reflect his or her interests and needs, including course management tools for faculty, access to SISWeb and Degree Navigator for students, and web-based email for faculty and students. A new way to find information at UC Davis. A doorway to many UCD Davis-specific online services and information.

5 MyUCDavis Web Portal Post-Pilot Status 3/29/01Presentation to AC4 and AdC35 The MyUCDavis Pilot An invitation for pilot participants was sent to the 400 members of the FIAT* email list 60 faculty volunteered to participate along with their students The pilot ran during the Fall and Winter Quarters *Forum on Instructional Applications of Technology is a list for discussions and announcements regarding the uses of technology for teaching at the University of California, Davis.

7 MyUCDavis Web Portal Post-Pilot Status 3/29/01Presentation to AC4 and AdC37 MyUCDavis Survey: 408 responses 73% will use MyUCDavis as their default browser page. 79% find MyUCDavis to improve productivity as a student, faculty or staff member. 78% believe MyUCDavis will help the campus attract prospective students. 96% would recommend MyUCDavis to others.

8 MyUCDavis Web Portal Post-Pilot Status 3/29/01Presentation to AC4 and AdC38 Course Management Software is gaining in popularity: 51 faculty have created course web sites for 114 courses. These 51 faculty have created over 1000 course documents using MyUCDavis Course Management. There are an additional 139 links to existing course web sites included in MyUCDavis.

9 MyUCDavis Web Portal Post-Pilot Status 3/29/01Presentation to AC4 and AdC39 MyUCDavis meets much of the criteria established by the UCD Policy and Procedure Manual Section 200-45 for Tier 1 administrative computing systems because it: –Crosses organizational boundaries; –Is critical to the ability to support the delivery of education; –Has strategic value to the campus such that encouragement of widespread use is desirable.
