8. Incoming Links links from other sites pointing to page use Google to determine incoming links a large number can be a vote of confidence look to see what types of sites are linking to

9. Outgoing Links links leaving site and connecting to other sites do not confuse with links staying within domain links may lead to other great sites look for patterns… links may lead to biased sites determine what outgoing links say about site

10. Broken Links links that either go nowhere or to incorrect place a few can occur on the ever changing web a pattern may point out a site that is neglected a neglected site not good for most research
