3. Main mass signals which stick out after subtraction of “impurity background” are those for iBr+ and CF3+ N2+ impurity signal fluctuates a lot. Therefore the negative result of the N2+ signal after subtraction should be ignored. The small C+ and C2+ signals sticking out after subtraction most probably is not real, i.e. These signal most probably are due to impurti bakcground. As seen on next slide the difference signal are tiny compared to the absolut signals strengths:
