Grants.gov Overview 10/26/2005 PAGE 2 The Grants.gov Program… Is a cross-agency initiative spanning 900 grant programs from the 26 grant-making agencies, and over $360 billion in annual awards Is a simple, unified “storefront” for all customers of Federal grants to electronically – Find Grant Opportunities – Apply for Grants Is one of the Federal cross-agency E-Government initiatives to improve access to services via the Internet Is managed by the Department of Health and Human Services, the largest provider of Federal grants

Grants.gov Overview 10/26/2005 PAGE 4 Grants.gov Offers Many Advantages An organization only needs to register once to be able to submit all future applications via Grants.gov Applications are simple to submit and are more accurate due to built-in error checking and editing functionality Submitting applications via Grants.gov ensures prompt receipt by grantors – including NOAA – avoiding delays sometimes experienced through postal or courier services
