www.ioapa.org International Olympic Academy (IOA) Founded in 1961 in Olympia, Greece, following the original idea of Pierre de Coubertin IOA Mission: To function as an International Academic Centre for Olympic Studies, Education and Research

www.ioapa.org IOAPA Timeline 1985/86/87: Idea during IOA Young Participants Sessions 1989: IOAPA foundation. First Session held at the IOA Difficult first years but now an active network worldwide: 800 members from more than 100 countries

www.ioapa.org Mission Statement To foster an international and multicultural Olympic fellowship of IOA past participants, providing tools and resources to facilitate Olympic education and support Olympism worldwide
