19. Like many young people in our society, I have once found it hard to exchange my feelings or ideas with my parents. At first, I tried to listen to them, giving little thought to my own feelings; but later I found out what they said did not always hold water. So I began to stick to my ways of thinking, turning a deaf ear to theirs. Before long, however, that made me an object of their endless criticism. Hit with this, I managed to communicate with my parents in a round-about way. Now I have got a lot of benefit from it.
