Conclusions 1)For heaviest nuclei, shapes at sp and at eq. are not very far from each other, e.g. 2)Still, properties of nuclei at this point may be very different from those at the eq. point, e.g. a) shell corections are usually smaller at sp than at eq. b) shapes are quite often non-axial at sp, while axially sym. at eq. c) deformation of a high multipolarity β6 and the effect of it on the energy is smaller at sp than at eq.
