7 Scanning scheme constraint to have pedestal data without too big gap 2 hours Pedestal position time We have coupled sources. Pedestal data is valid when distance between strip and two sources is far enough. Scanning scheme need some attention to have pedestal data not to have too big g ap.

8 Movement of coupled sources What is the efficient scanning scheme for coupled sources. We’ll need more complicated scan scheme for upper and low er corner of detector. 36 inch

9 Lattice distance constraint Distance between two rails is fixed. Scan point should lie on green line. Source rail Distance between closest scan points

10 Minimum distance between two sources 36 inch We should keep some distance b etween two sources for X and U. It seems that we have to have dif ferent scan movement for XU an d XV. We’ll have consistent data if sou rce movement for XV is mirror i mage of XU’s.

11 OD scan Do we want to scan OD just for QA? Longitudinal scan will give us attenuation c urve. Time estimate didn’t include OD scan. If we only want attenuation curve, can we r educe source exposure time for OD scan?
